This partial renovation of a stately Victorian house includes a new guest suite and terrace. In order to make a very small, windowless bathroom light and dynamic, the juxtaposition of massive and weightless, opaque, clear and reflective materials were used to maximum effect. The unusual disposition and perceptual doubling of mechanical elements along a mirrored wall creates the illusory suspension of the body in space.
